Season 2009 We had an average season this year. The hunter number was down, due to the economy no doubt. Success was OK but not great. The swamp camp was struggling but good hunting at the cabin made up for it. Most years it is the other way around. The last hunt of the year was a tough one: the bulls were in after rut mode, hiding in the thick timber and licking their wounds. But that is hunting! Moose success: 75%; Opportunity: 85% Caribou success: 100%
